Bayfield High School Theatre Celebrates Strong Opening Weekend, Two Shows Remain

The group bows for photos at the end of the performance.

“We had an amazing opening weekend,” said Theatre Director Sarah Ripley. “Our students have poured their creativity and dedication into every aspect of the production, and it’s been wonderful to see the community come out and support them.”

Audiences who haven’t yet experienced the show still have two فرص to attend. Remaining performances will take place Thursday, April 9 and Friday, April 10 at 7 p.m. in the Bayfield High School Performing Arts Center.

Based on the beloved children’s book by Norton Juster, The Phantom Tollbooth tells the story of Milo, a young boy who is transported to the imaginative Land of Wisdom, where words and numbers come to life. Alongside his companion Tock, Milo embarks on a journey to rescue the princesses Rhyme and Reason, discovering along the way that learning and curiosity can transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Featuring music by Arnold Black and clever, wordplay-filled lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, the production blends humor, heart, and creativity into a performance that appeals to audiences of all ages.

From vibrant costumes to imaginative set design, the show highlights the talent and teamwork of Bayfield High School students both on stage and behind the scenes.

Tickets are $10 for students and $12 for general admission and can be purchased online at https://www.vancoevents.com/us/events/landing/63501 or at the box office prior to each performance.

Don’t miss your chance to experience this magical adventure—join Milo and friends for an unforgettable evening of live theatre at Bayfield High School.
