Community members are invited to stop by the Pine River Library in Bayfield to experience a special showcase of student creativity from Bayfield High School. From now through March, 80 pieces of student artwork are on display, highlighting the talent and dedication of BHS artists.

The exhibit features a wide range of mediums, including ceramics, photography, paintings and drawings — offering something for every art lover to enjoy.

“We would like to congratulate the following students for getting their artwork displayed at Bayfield Pine River Public Library from January until March,” said BHS Art Teacher Kathleen Neal. “There are 80 pieces of art displayed including ceramics, photography and paintings and drawings. This is a great honor because other local artists only get to display their work for one month.”

Neal encouraged the community to come see the exhibit firsthand.

“Please drop by the library to view their art! We are very proud of our student artists!” she urged.

The BHS Art Program offers students a comprehensive pathway in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional arts. Courses in two-dimensional art progress from Fundamentals of Art to Studio Art, Advanced Art and Independent Art Study. Three-dimensional offerings include Ceramics, Studio Ceramics and Advanced Ceramics, while Photography and Advanced Photography round out the program.

Throughout their coursework, students explore the Elements and Principles of Design, build digital portfolios for college and scholarship opportunities, and professionally display their work at BHS art shows and select community exhibits, including the library show.

The Pine River Library is located at 395 Bayfield Center Dr. and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Don’t miss this opportunity to support local students and celebrate the vibrant arts community in Bayfield.
