BHS Theatre Director Sarah Ripley announced this week that the high school theatre club will perform the high-energy musical, based on the hit Disney Channel movies. This spring, they will take audiences on a journey through the next generation of Disney heroes and villains.
Disney's Descendants: The Musical follows the children of classic Disney villains and heroes as they navigate their identities and destinies in a world that’s anything but ordinary. Featuring catchy songs, lively choreography, and beloved characters, this musical is perfect for audiences of all ages.
The search for the cast begins with a Parent Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Bayfield High School. Parents and students will learn more about the production, audition process, and what to expect from this exciting theater experience.
Auditions are set to take place in the BHS Performing Arts Center on January 13 and 15, 2025. The first round will be an Open Audition on Monday, January 13, from 4:30 to 7:00 PM, where aspiring actors will sing 32 bars of a song from a musical and read selected sides from the show.
On Wednesday, January 15, dance auditions will take center stage from 4:30 to 7:00 PM. All dancers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and shoes for the movement-based session.
