BHS students and athletes have been practicing their skills in class and are now ready to showcase their efforts to the Bayfield community, according to BHS Girls Volleyball Coach Terene Foutz. That unveiling will take place when the BHS Girls Volleyball team hosts Farmington High School for regular season home volleyball matches beginning at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The matches will kick off with a C-Team match, and the Unified Showcase will immediately follow.
“Bayfield High School is proud to showcase the collaboration of our student groups and athletic programs. Our BHS Students are great community representatives, and we are excited to present a fun-filled event to share with everyone.” Foutz said in a press release announcing the event.
BHS Physical Education has partnered with Unified Athletes, Unified Bowling Team, and BHS Girls Volleyball to represent inclusion and teamwork.
“With equity, we are changing the future one day at a time.” said BHS Unified Teacher Sarah Ripley.
“Our Bayfield Unified Physical Education Class is full of opportunities to learn the real definition of leadership and acceptance. The impact is fulfilling through the smiles, laughs, teamwork, and improvement that makes our days,” said Rachel Nava, one of the BHS Unified Partner Students.
“We are so grateful for our teachers, athletes, and the overall learning. It is beyond words to explain how excited and proud we are to showcase our volleyball skills.” agreed Kieley White Thunder, another of the Unified Partner Students.
Foutz said Bayfield High School is excited to invite BHS Wolverine fans to join the school and its athletes in celebrating the Unified Community. The event will be a true showcase, and in addition to the Unified Volleyball action, there will also be a BHS Unified Bowling Team Bake Sale, Unified Autographed Volleyball Silent Auction, Unified Team Introductions, and other features to help provide a fun-filled Wolverines Event!

5:00 pm — UNIFIED SHOWCASE, Roster Introductions
5:45 pm — BHS WHITEOUT JV-Match
6:45 pm — BHS WHITEOUT Varsity Match,
