Class Objective:
This class serves as an introductory course to American Sign Language. American Sign Language is a visual-gestural language used by the Deaf community in North America. Throughout this course, students will learn fingerspelling, basic sign language vocabulary and history of deaf culture. Emphasis is placed on real-life applications and the development of receptive and expressive signing skills.
