Mr. Walton's Classroom Website

Welcome to Mr. Walton's Science Page. I am excited to be teaching Integrated Science, Biology, Ecology and Geology this year. All of these classes will be taking an inquiry approach where students are given various problems and I help guide their learning of the concepts. The classes will be lab based and not a lot of textbook driven instruction. Students will not be given a textbook as they will not need one for the majority of the class. If an assignment requires a textbook, a textbook will be checked out to the student. Students will be required to maintain a lab notebook with the majority of their assignments in it. If you have any questions or concerns please click the link to the right of this text.

I am a native of Southwest Colorado as I grew up in Mancos. Growing up here instilled a love for the outdoors. After graduating from Mancos High School I attended Fort Lewis College where I received my degree in Environmental and General Biology. After two and a half years of doing field work I went back to college and got by teaching license. I taught for 5 years at Montezuma-Cortez high school before moving to Bayfield where I have also been for 5 years.
