BHS Parents and Guardians,

Raising the temperature of water by one extra degree means the difference between something that is simply very hot and something that generates enough force to power a machine – a beautiful metaphor that ideally should feed our every endeavor – consistently pushing us to make the extra effort in every task that we undertake. It reminds us that seemingly small things can make tremendous differences. ”- 212 degrees, the extra degree, Sam Parker and Mac Anderson. I am thrilled to focus our collective energy on amazing opportunities for our students and our continuing the great things we have in place for Bayfield High School students, while raising the bar.

Welcome Back!  I am looking forward to another fabulous year and the opportunity to continue our work with outstanding staff and incredible students. I can’t wait to see each and every one of you and hear about the great things that you did over the summer, as well as, celebrate student success and staff accomplishments.  We will be continuing to hold ourselves and students to high levels of accountability through maintaining a high standard of a positive climate and culture in our building.  We will also evaluate data and open a dialogue that will allow us to continue offering a first-class education as well as recognize and encourage positive behavior and support students at every level. The team at Bayfield High School will focus on creating an environment of mental wellness and communication. We will implement many strategies throughout the year to ensure that mental health is a priority for all students. Bayfield High School will be the model of customer service to our community. It is our expectation that staff will do everything possible to have 100% parent contact throughout each semester and will return emails or voice messages within 2 business days. Please continue to openly communicate with our team here at BHS, and as always please be in contact with your child’s teacher first.
