Welcome to Science with Ms. Paulek

In our classroom, we will be cultivating curiosity, growing critical thinking and observation skills, utilizing resources, learning to use lab equipment, and having a little bit of fun along the way. My goal is to create a space where young scientists find success and build lifelong skills so that they can become independent, thoughtful, creative, dynamic members of society.
I am always happily available via email at lpaulek@bayfield.k12.co.us and I look forward to a great school year!

Students have access to PowerSchool with their student login information.

I am so excited to be back in the Wolverine Family! I grew up in and graduated from the Bayfield School District and am so thankful for the opportunity to be part of this great community growing amazing kids.

After I graduated from BHS, I spent 5 years earning my B.S in Biology at Colorado State University and University of Denver. As part of my studies, I did field research on juvenile sharks in the Caribbean. While there, I taught local teens Marine Biology through hands on experiences.

I also worked with and mentored freshmen students on CSU's campus and taught in a developmental biology lab. In 2018, I completed the Boettcher Teacher Residency in Ignacio High School and Middle School.

My passion lies in seeing science in the world around us and tyring to capture the coolest moments. Here are some of my favorites that give a snapshot into who I am.

Go Wolverines!
