Integrated Science (Period 6)

Course Description

Integrated Science is a course where we will explore a variety of topics of physical science, meaning the study of inanimate, natural phenomena. First semester, we will examine the basic concepts of CHEMISTRY which involves understanding how atomic structure determines both physical and chemical properties of matter and the interactions occurring between atoms to form molecules & compounds. Second semester you will study the basic concepts of PHYSICS involving, MOTION (speed and acceleration), Newton’s Laws, FORCES (including gravitation), WORK, ENERGY (transfer, transform & conservation) and HEAT, and some of the basic concepts of Astronomy.
